Research interests and current projects
Ka Lok is interested in different aspects of solid earth geophysics, including earthquakes, volcanic processes, seismic imaging techniques and earth structure. Some of his current projects include:
Development of new methods for tremor location
Understanding volcanic tremor and making use of it as a real-time unrest indicator
Development of new methods for earthquake relocation
Numerical simulation of seismic wave propagation in a scattering environment
Development of structural imaging techniques using scattered seismic waves
Improving seismic source imaging techniques
